The Telling is operated by God on the Rocks Productions ("we," "us," or "our"), registered in Texas. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
What we collect
- Email address and password (password is hashed and never stored in plain text) when you create an account.
- Content you create within the app: project names, discovery conversations, notes, outlines, and manuscript drafts.
- Basic usage data collected by Vercel Analytics (page views, general traffic patterns — no personally identifiable information).
What we don't collect
Payment information. All payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. We do not sell your data. Ever.
How we use your data
To provide the app and save your work. To send transactional emails related to your account. We do not use your data to train AI models.
Your content is yours
Everything you write in The Telling belongs to you. We claim no rights to your creative work. Ever.
Your rights
You may request export or deletion of your data at any time by emailing support@thetelling.app. We will fulfill requests within 30 days.
Data storage
Your data is stored securely via Supabase with encryption at rest and in transit.
Children
The Telling is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy. We'll notify you by email if changes are material.
